The Imperial Palace gardens offered a relaxing stroll through greenery, trees, and a wide variety of plants.
We visited the Tokyo Imperial Palace gardens today.
What stood out most to me was the greenery: the trees, and the variety of trees and plants. After the movement and density of Tokyo’s busier areas, it was relaxing to have a place where the main activity was simply walking.
There was something good about seeing this much green within such a large capital. The gardens gave the day a quieter rhythm and made space for noticing the surroundings rather than constantly moving towards the next thing.
It was a very relaxing place for a stroll.
