One Tokyo day took us from Meiji Shrine and Harajuku to Shinjuku and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building.
We visited Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, and Shinjuku today.
It was another example of how much variety Tokyo offers within a single day. The places felt different from one another, yet moving between them did not feel unusual in a city this large.
At night, we enjoyed the views from the observation deck on the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. Looking out over Tokyo from there was a good way to end a day spent moving through different parts of the city.
Tokyo keeps changing its mood as you move around it. A shrine, a busy neighbourhood, and a major urban centre can all fit into the same day without making the city feel repetitive.
