(DAY 1128) Endure, Master Wayne

Building a startup asks for more endurance than intensity.

There is a famous line from The Dark Knight Rises that keeps coming back to me: “Endure, Master Wayne.” It sounds simple, but it captures something very real about building anything difficult.

Startups are not just about ideas, speed, or ambition. They are also about staying power. Can you keep showing up when progress is slow? Can you remain patient when outcomes are uncertain? Can you keep your mind clear and your standards high even when there is pressure from every direction?

That is the real test.

To build a company, you need to be at the top of your game, not once, but repeatedly. You need emotional control, physical energy, and mental sharpness over long periods of time. There are exciting days, but there are also long stretches of repetition, waiting, setbacks, and hard decisions.

Endurance is what carries you through those stretches. Patience is what stops you from making desperate decisions. Discipline is what keeps you moving when motivation fades.

So yes, that dialogue feels true. Very true.

If you want to build something meaningful, you have to endure.
