(DAY 1129) When LPG Shortage Reaches Domino's

Today, a simple Domino’s lunch order turned into a reminder that big disruptions eventually show up in very ordinary places.

On some Saturdays, especially during hackathons, we order lunch from Domino’s. It is one of those predictable, dependable routines that helps the day move smoothly. But today, when we placed the order, we were informed that delivery would take around two hours because of an LPG shortage.

What made it more striking was hearing that this was not just one outlet issue. We were told it was affecting Domino’s across India.

It is strange how macro events travel. At first they seem distant, geopolitical, abstract. They belong to headlines, diplomats, and markets. Then, slowly, they trickle into daily life. A delayed meal. A shortage notice. A broken routine. Something small, but revealing.

That is what today felt like. One more example of how the effects of conflict and instability do not stay confined to maps and news channels. Eventually, they surface in supply chains, operations, and everyday decisions.

Sometimes the world reminds you of its interconnectedness in the most unexpected way: through a pizza that now takes two hours to arrive.
