Happy Holi to everyone!
This was the first time I celebrated Holi in Gurgaon, so naturally I went into the day with a mix of curiosity and expectation.
Compared to Jaipur’s Holi, the overall setup here felt more organized and structured. Things seemed planned, controlled, and smoother in many practical ways. But at the same time, it felt like something was missing — that raw flavour and lived authenticity I have always associated with Holi.
In Jaipur, Holi often feels less like an event and more like a shared mood that takes over neighborhoods, friendships, and memories. In Gurgaon, the experience was fine, even efficient, but it did not carry that same emotional texture for me.
If I am being honest, there was nothing particularly noteworthy this time. Maybe that is less about the city and more about memory — I still measure Holi against the old celebrations with friends, and those moments were hard to replicate.
