A day that started with thoughts of Mandrem ended with the better decision: driving back to Benaulim and spending the evening at Blue Corner shack.
Went back to Benaulim today and ended up feeling that the return was completely worth it. We had initially been looking for spots around Mandrem in North Goa, but the plan did not feel compelling enough once we got there.
Dunes is closed, and Mandrem also has that backwater geography which gives it a different feel from the open beach experience we were in the mood for. So instead of forcing the plan, we decided to drive back from North Goa to Benaulim and spend the evening there.
That turned out to be the right call. Blue Corner shack and the whole Benaulim stretch offered exactly what we wanted: space, calm, and an evening that felt restorative rather than busy. Sometimes the best travel decision is simply to return to the place that already felt right.
