The phrase that days are long and years are short feels especially true this year, with 2026 moving even faster than 2025 for me.
The line that the days are long and the years are short keeps feeling true. Individual days can feel packed, stretched, and sometimes oddly slow, but the year itself seems to move with very little friction.
For me, 2026 is definitely one such year. In some strange way it already feels faster than 2025, even though 2025 itself did not exactly move slowly.
Maybe this is what happens when life has enough texture, responsibility, and repetition at the same time. The days demand attention up close, but the months blur when viewed from a distance. You live them in detail and then suddenly realize they are gone.
