Daily Note

(DAY 1114) Listen to Your Body Before Surgery

Quick Context

In one line

A short note on noticing the body's signals ahead of surgery and the unusual need for rest that comes with it.

Daily Note

This week has been a reminder to listen to my body.

Ever since I knew the surgery was coming up, my body seems to have adjusted on its own. By 9 pm, I am usually done for the day and feel quite sleepy.

It is not dramatic, but it is noticeable. Energy runs out earlier, the body asks for more rest, and the signal is fairly clear if I pay attention to it.

There is probably some mix of stress, anticipation, and natural preparation at work. Whatever the reason, it feels better to respect that rhythm than to push against it.

Sometimes the body understands what is coming before the mind fully processes it. Listening to it is often the smarter choice.
