Operating Principle

(DAY 1113) Attention Is the Currency of Care

Quick Context

In one line

A short reflection on using attention as a simple filter for people and how genuine care usually finds a way to express itself.

Operating Principle Topic: Self-Awareness

A very simple filter for people is attention.

The people who care about you usually find a way to show it. They check in, follow up, remember details, and express concern without needing perfect timing or perfect words.

The people who do not care that much usually drift in the other direction. They stay vague, inconsistent, and eventually absent. Most of the time, that pattern tells you more than explanations ever will.

Attention is the currency of care. Where someone puts their attention reveals what matters to them and who matters to them.

That makes it a useful filter. It removes the need to overanalyze mixed signals and helps you see relationships more clearly.

People who truly value you tend to make that visible over time. And people who do not are probably not going to stick around for long anyway.
