Operating Principle Topic: Self-Awareness

Days can feel full of tasks and deadlines, while months and years seem to pass quickly. I find it useful to pause now and then and ask whether my time is going where I want it to go. As the saying goes, “Days are long, but the years are short.”

Reflection does not need to mean replaying every decision. It can be a short check-in: what has changed, what is working, and whether a habit or priority still fits. Sometimes I notice progress only when I stop to look back. Other times, I realize I should change course.

This can be as simple as writing for 15 minutes or taking a walk without distractions. I do not expect every pause to produce an answer. The point is to pay attention instead of moving from one task to the next without looking up.
