(DAY 376) Mastering Heart Rate Control with Breathing

Quick Context

In one line

Everyday, it is easy to overlook the simple yet profound act of breathing. Every inhale and exhale not only sustains our life but also holds the key to controll...

Daily Note

I have been paying more attention to my breathing during meditation. I am curious about how breathing affects heart rate and how a slower breath might help me feel calmer.

Breathing and attention

Breathing changes with how we feel. When I slow down and pay attention to it, I find it easier to settle. Closing my eyes can also reduce visual distractions.

Breath awareness is part of many meditation practices. Focusing on the breath gives attention somewhere to return when thoughts wander. I am still learning what works for me, but it has made me more aware of how often I take breathing for granted.
